
Lourdes Ocbena, CPA
Fiscal Coordinator
Lourdes Ocbena joins the PAETC team with a wealth of UCSF experience, having worked in Accounting, CVRI and at CAPS for more than 5 years. She is a CPA and earned 18 units of MBA from De La Salle University in the Philippines. She has completed all of the RSA certification programs at UCSF, including having worked with EBI (the reconciliation program we use with FCM), and Cayuse424 v3.5.4 (the electronic submission of proposals used by UC campuses and several federal agencies). She has also worked for Chevron (in Asia) and an insurance brokerage firm headquartered in Hamburg, Germany. In addition Lourdes has served as President, Secretary and Treasurer of Toastmasters International, Caltex (Philippines) Toastmasters Club. As the Fiscal Coordinator of PAETC, she co-develops the budget and is responsible for post-award activities. She oversees financial matters of incoming and outgoing subcontractor activities. She ensures accurate and timely compliance to agency and campus policies, and coordinates financial management of extramural funds with federal, state and non-profit agencies, and the UCSF Accounting Office and the Office of Research Administration.
